About the event

Causes:
Type 1 diabetes: The body's immune system destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to a lack of insulin production.
Type 2 diabetes: The body becomes resistant to insulin or doesn't produce enough of it, resulting in high blood sugar levels.
Gestational diabetes: A type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy and usually resolves after delivery.
With proper management, people with diabetes can live long and healthy lives. However, complications can arise if blood sugar levels are not controlled effectively.
