Only 35.1% of Latino adults with mental illness receive treatment, compared to the 46.2% U.S. average, due to stigma, lack of insurance, language barriers, and immigration challenges.

La salud mental en la comunidad latina se encuentra bajo una presión creciente, con tasas en aumento de depresión, suicidio y enfermedades mentales graves (SMI) entre los adultos jóvenes y los jóvenes; sin embargo, este grupo enfrenta barreras significativas para acceder a la atención. Solo el 35.1% de los adultos latinos con enfermedades mentales reciben tratamiento —en comparación con el promedio nacional de Estados Unidos del 46.2%— debido al estigma, la falta de seguro médico, las barreras idiomáticas y los desafíos relacionados con la inmigración.
